This freshman course design --- “Introduction to Collegiate Musical Studies” --- is an outline of possible topics, with discussion points, to help guide the narrative and engage students. Not a rigorous curriculum, the chapters and subject headings can be transformed easily with additions and subtractions. These PDF documents (270 pages combined), created from a percussionist's perspective and bias, but with many borrowed ideas and points of view, are offered only as operational prototypes. These "chapters" fall under four categories: Personal Development, Pedagogy-Related, Professional Development, and Practical Appetizers.
